The AmCham is a private, independent, non-profit association founded in Manila in 1902 and incorporated in 1920. AmCham serves as a vital platform for collaboration among business leaders, promoting the interests of Philippine and American businesses and contributing to the country’s civic and economic development. The Chamber is affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce of the United States and maintains close ties with other international chambers.
The AmCham BLP is designed to provide Filipino college students with unparalleled access to top executives from leading American and multinational companies in the Philippines. The 10-day program features leadership talks, corporate visits, networking events, and a business case competition, all aimed at developing leadership skills and business acumen among the country’s future leaders. All expenses, including transportation, accommodation, and meals, are covered by sponsor companies.
Throughout the program, delegates engaged in a comprehensive leadership development experience by participating in executive talks and roundtable discussions with senior leaders from AmCham member companies. These sessions provided valuable insights into key areas such as team management, analytical thinking, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
In addition, students took part in a challenging business case competition, where they were tasked with solving real-world business scenarios. This allowed them to apply their knowledge and creativity in addressing issues related to the triple bottom line—people, planet, and profit.
The program also placed a strong emphasis on networking and mentorship, fostering meaningful connections among students, alumni, and industry leaders. As a result, participants were able to build a supportive peer network that will continue to benefit them long after the program concludes.
