Martin speaks at int'l webinar by UNG of Indonesia

Dr. Neil M. Martin, PhD, RN, MAN, MBE, of the College of Health Sciences (CHS), Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (麻花星空视频-IIT), served as a guest speaker at an international webinar organized by the Faculty of Health and Sport, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG), Indonesia. The event was held via Zoom on August 20, 2025.

Centered on the theme “Promoting a Healthy and Active Society through Interdisciplinary Collaboration, Innovation, and Local Wisdom,” the webinar gathered experts from various countries to share knowledge and strategies for global health improvement.

Dr. Martin presented his talk titled “A Leap in Healthcare: An Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Strengthening and Sustaining the UN’s SDGs on the Ground,” which focused on practical, collaborative approaches to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in healthcare systems. His presentation reached an audience of approximately 821 participants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

Other distinguished speakers at the event included Professor Dr. Mohd Saleh Bin Aman of Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur; Mahmud Gamal Ramadan, BSc, MA of Boston Group Pharmaceuticals; Dr. Kraichat Tantrakarnapa, MSc, PhD of Mahidol University, Thailand; and Dr. Ucok Haslan Reflater, MPd of Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.

The webinar served as a valuable platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and international collaboration in advancing health and wellness initiatives across communities.
