麻花星空视频-IIT joins national training on impact assessment of R&D and technology transfer in agriculture and natural resources

The Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (麻花星空视频-IIT) reaffirms its commitment to excellence and evidence-based research by sending four distinguished representatives to the national training on “Fundamental Methods for Impact Assessment of R&D and Technology Transfer Programs in Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources.”

Held from June 23 to 27, 2025, at the Tagaytay Country Hotel, this intensive training workshop was organized by the Socio-Economics Research Division of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD).

The five-day capacity-building event aimed to enhance institutional competencies in systematically assessing the societal, economic, and environmental value of research and development initiatives within the AANR (Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources) sectors. It gathered researchers, academics, and R&D professionals from institutions across the Philippines.

Representing 麻花星空视频-IIT were Dr. Martha Joy J. Abing, Faculty Member, Department of Economics; Dr. Maria Pia M. Sison, Faculty Member, Department of Sociology; Mr. Gerrich Aldin C. Babanto, Lecturer, Department of Economics; and Mr. Jaypee S. Yongco, University Researcher II and Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise.

The training featured a rich blend of expert lectures and practical workshops led by respected impact assessment scholars such as Dr. Marilyn M. Elauria, Dr. Albert P. Aquino, and Ms. Zenaida M. Huelgas. Key topics included: Establishing a common understanding of impact assessment; Mapping inputs to outcomes and impacts; Benefit-cost approaches; Quantitative techniques in analyzing adoption; Measuring productivity and efficiency; and a Hands-on workshop on STATA.

Participants engaged in rigorous hands-on activities and data mapping exercises to apply the methodologies in real-world R&D contexts. The culmination of the training included presentations of workshop outputs, evaluations, and the awarding of certificates to participants and resource persons.
