Student-researchers at Â黨ÐÇ¿ÕÊÓÆµ-IIT continue to make marks in international conferences with another paper presentation by BS Economics students at the International Conference on Agricultural Economics and Development (ICAED) 2025 held on September 10-11, 2025, at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.
Two papers were accepted for oral presentation, concentrating on the theme, “Translating Research into Policy and Practice for the Agriculture, Aquaculture, and Natural Resources (AANR) Sector in Asia and the Pacific,” where researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders across Asia and the Pacific gathered to exchange knowledge on the AANR sector.
The study “Digitalization and Agricultural Output: Evidence from Selected Asian Countries, 2018–2022” was conducted by researchers Al-gafar C. Mauna, Maica Angela C. Mangapis, Dexter D. Cartajenas, and Jafar S. Zamora under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Charlyn M. Capulong. Meanwhile, the research “The Nexus of Marine Sustainability on Blue Economy: Evidence of Asian Countries” was undertaken by Jerry II C. Daan, Precious Margarette E. Amarga, Jonah Mir S. Bahan, and Arjay R. Bargamento, with Dr. Martha Joy Abing serving as adviser.
Organized by the University of the Philippines Mindanao (Office of Research), the Agri-Aqua Value Chain Laboratory, and the Center for Agricultural Economics and Development, University of Western Australia, with support from the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), this conference brought meaningful and impactful insights and dialogues among participants.
